A New Year’s Tradition: Black Eyed Peas & Collard Greens
A New Year is around the corner, and we want to you to get off on the right foot with one of the sagest superstitions for New Year’s ever: black-eyed peas & collard greens. According to folklore,oOne must eat black-eyed peas and collard greens on New Year’s Day if you want to have money for the upcoming year. The collard greens represent green money or bills of money. The black-eyed peas represent your pennies or coins. For a year that’s full of money, eat yourself full of greens and black-eyed peas on News Year Day! Smitty’s has added both of these items to our offerings for a limited amount of time, but you’d be best served by getting them as close to January 1st as you can.
